Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at age of 14. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing wrestling and boxing before her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in each fight. Then she returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and defeated her via unanimity to create an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her career in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by first-round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to take on McGill. Aspen ended her bout via the TKO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy through TKO. She lost by unanimous decision.
